Pros
- Free nibbles and fruit in the mornings, Cooffee machine catered by great runners. - Great pool of talent - Some great projects - Immediate management seemed to genuinely care. I loved my team but the teams and departments can become very close knitted due to the adversarial nature of the company. They seem to keep anybody at higher level comfotable and reasonably happy,
Cons
- It was telling that Senior artists would not take lead role since the pay wasn't enough compared to the stress - The physical facilities were lacking, 2 bathrooms in a floor of 80 or so people, and a corner cutting culture that was the complete opposite of what was demanded from the employees. - They seem to only offer a salary increase when you're on your way out. It was very hard to leave this company, but there was no prospect of compensation increase, even with added responsibilities and increasing performance, the salary review seemed to play exactly the same every year I was there: "You've got some great feedback, how about a 3% increase (Inflation was 4.5% for that year alone and this was a salary under 25K) . In the end I had to leave because I could not afford to continue with the rate and extra responsibilities. I understand the pressures of the industry in general, but MPC seemed to come up with new ways to lead the race to the bottom by sacrificing their talent, not fostering it.
