Cons
Few IT managers think they are the Director of the company. They will forced you to do whatever they ask and if you don't agree that will impact your apprisal. Not much development work. Have to take late night calls still have to come office on time. If 30 employees out of 50 are leaving organisation under a single IT manager you can think your position after you join this.
