Pros

Get to work remotely, you are able to build apps the way you like to and teams are fairly small, so get to know them pretty quickly. Pay is good and has some nice benefits.

Cons

Management has gone through a lot of turnover lately, new team running everything is very unprofessional and communication is terrible. The company has a sink or swim mentality, if you never had Sitecore experience they are TERRIBLE at training you. When I started, no once follows up with you and communicates what you are going to be working on, a PM will just one day tell you that you are on a project. No one there gives any technical documents or gives an overview of project, just here is your section and finish it in two days or so. Last straw was, my project was coming to an end, they hired new people for a project that started, so when mine comes to an end, I'm left with no work. Here is the important part. They only allow 2 weeks on bench, then you are on unpaid leave. I have worked for 2 major consulting firms and I have never worked for a company that gives you such little time on the bench. Upper management keeps telling developers that you need to find work..... seems like all upper management does is watch over you, but doesn't help out. These people are horrible at resource management, communication and leadership.

Pros

I have worked with NTT DATA as a government IT and project management consultant since 2018, starting with Cognosante before the acquisition. My experience has been very positive. I have had the autonomy to focus on the success of my team and my client, while also having the support of a large, high-performing organization. There are real opportunities for growth, strong training resources, and leaders who genuinely care about employees, clients, and the communities they serve. I have also been promoted during my time here, which reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent.

Cons

As with many large organizations, processes and systems and can sometimes take time to navigate, especially during periods of growth or transition. Continued focus on communication and simplifying internal processes would make the employee experience even stronger.

Pros

- Strong global presence allows for diverse projects, clients, and opportunities - Enabled and encouraged to learn new technologies, use tools, and grow skills - Generally supportive teams and cross collaboration - Great work-life balance in many roles

Cons

- Compensation and raises can be slow, infrequency, and below market - Personal Development review process can be unclear and slow - Processes and decision making around them can feel very outdated, there seems to be a lack of structure and clarity around many HR and business operations areas - Very little employee recognition - Critical benefits information isn’t distributed well and there is zero follow up actions to ensure we have all important access/accounts set up
