Pros
The corporate campus is nice with child care up to kindergarten, a gym, a dog park, and a cafeteria for associates. Most associates are nice and friendly. It’s nice to have a casual dress code and the ability to bring your pet with you.
Cons
The constant fear of layoffs creates an uneasy work environment. Management is secretive of their plans and will hit different departments at different times so no one knows if and when they might be next. It’s worse than when they did a mass layoff in July when everyone was emailed to be at their desk by 9am and wait for an email about their employment status-all the while Michael Massey was walking around in white pants and a bright shirt. As part of the company mission statement, they emphasize doing the right thing but it feels as though the bottom line is more important than doing what is right for employees, customers, and pets. They want to make everything as spaceially tight and as cheap as possible with the bare minimum of coverage for associates to pets.
