Pros
There appears to be a genuine interest in the wider development of the company via its employees. As a result of this there are numerous initiatives often setup by teams themselves to help build the skills of the employees.
Cons
A little bit of a haphazard approach to getting things done and there is not a great deal of strict adherence to governance and policy. This could be seen as a good thing also depending on your perspective bit in this instance I think it tends to be more of a hindrance than a help to affecting any positive changes.
