Pros
P&G has great work / life balance and provides many different career opportunities especially at corporate headquarter sites. There are many affinity groups to join for support. The company also pays well, but at a regulated pace. P&G is proud of their culture and wants everyone to think their way. Hiring practices filter for a certain type. Many training opportunities for self development.
Cons
P&G is geared toward a tenure career track. Experienced hires in most fields will find their previous experience and knowledge not valued or used in promotion considerations. P&G is best for new college hires with a desire to stay put for a long career. One other observation is P&G's insistence to create their own industry language which limits your ability to benchmark your skills outside. P&G is also very large, there are career traps that must be navigated as folks move in and out of roles above you - must be prepared to move around to find the right up line support you need.
