Cons
No onboarding at all. They expect you to deliver from the day 1 despite you have to setup and troubleshoot your equipment and accomplish 15+ mandatory trainings. It could be somewhat reasonable if they had any documentation regarding overall design, but they don't. Code is not commented either. You have to literally beat any piece of information out of your colleagues (who are of course always super busy). The software systems you have to maintain are just piles of bugs and there's no way for you to improve anything because you spend most of the time firefighting the issues. The overall atmosphere feels very phoney and toxic. You are only expected to praise RBC in internal social networks but if it comes to real feedback (regarding broken processes or security concerns) there's simply no way for you to be heard. Feedback channels are broken and incompetent managers who are responsible for creating the mess are getting promoted. Management is so obsessed with AI and pushing you for use it as much as you can. Funny thing: your improvement has a higher probability to be accepted if you claim it as suggested by AI, not you (imagine the level of trust in engineers there). For a senior engineer there's nothing but professional degradation. Please avoid.
