Pros
Rakuten is a great place to work with a strong engineering culture, supportive leadership, and plenty of opportunities to grow. The company values work-life balance, encourages innovation, and gives engineers real ownership over their work. I’ve been here for years and still feel challenged, appreciated, and motivated by the projects and the people I get to work with.
Cons
The company sometimes jumps into new initiatives, third-party tools, or services too quickly without fully vetting long-term impact or integration plans, which can lead to half-baked solutions and technical debt down the line. A bit more planning and cross-team alignment upfront would go a long way.
