Pros

lots of sharp people to work with. fast paced environment where you learn on the fly.

Cons

doesn't seem to pay competitively in some departments such as global support services. Some departments are still nice to work for and will pay and treat people appropriately. Global support services however has taken the lower road. little freedom to do the right thing is given and micromanagement is a real problem. you will not even get close to your market value and the low pay is not worth staying in this kind of environment.

Extremely talented and motivated people Great product and ecosystem around Kubernetes

Cons

Bluewashing is real. After 4 years past acquisition it is not Open Decision company anymore. There is no clear communication about the direction where the company goes, some departments were moved to IBM without clear explanation why. Promotion process that was clear before is gone, and now your salary increase or promotion are directly depend on your relationship with the manager and not from your contribution to the team or the product.
