Pros

- Great work/life balance - Very friendly management - Low stress environment - Management care about employee happiness - Employee satisfaction surveys regularly - Internal facebook type community / portal -> very cool - Recent high emphasis on creating brand recognition in market

Cons

- Pay way below industry standards - Extremely political! Favoritism is rampant and seems be the only way to move up for most - Management spy on employees by asking favored employees to look over your shoulder (I was asked to spy on others activities while I felt someone watching me - they would rather get 2nd hand info than confront you) - Management spy on your Lotus notes calendar events and check when you're online on communicator (mgmt themselves work from home whenever they please) - No coffee/tea in kitchens! Pay for own meal at team events and lunches ('very' cheap organization even when profits are high) - Time and time again people are "thrown in front of the bus" by management and then scapegoated when things don't seem to work - someone on team gets fired/quits every month it seems - Culture of incompetence - industry best practices? let's hire "seasoned" contractors and temps that know what they are doing! - Very slow promotions process - Top performers promoted after over TWO years! Felt sorry for them. - Technology outdated - HEAVY reliance on email and lotus notes databases. IT folks - this is a company to AVOID unless you plan on becoming useless!

Pros

Holidays off, okay pay, cross train in other areas that are needed

Cons

Managers, doesn’t keep advancement promises, always mentioning room for growth but when the opportunity presents itself they have an excuse for why right now is not a good time to move. Adds training for other departments that are short staffed but don’t compensate for all the different departments calls you are taking. Trying to take PTO is a pain, there are plenty employees so there should be no issues with taking time off
