Pros

Young culture and environment with a lot of smart people Can teach you a lot about industries if you have the time to learn

Cons

Management is extremely distrustful of their employees and blames them for anything that goes wrong. If you hit target one month they praise you and if you don't the next month you've regressed and haven't worked hard enough. Target systems do not account for short months, economic impact, or holidays. Management does not seem to know how to scale a business and does a poor job receiving feedback or criticism. Things change very slowly and the attitude is overwhelmingly "this is just how things are done" rather than having the will to innovate. Perhaps this is why margins are so low in the business. Depending on your team leader, you can either have a good or abysmal experience. Team leaders very much play favorites and you're expected to be a cheerleader for the firm. Any criticism of the business or business model is dismissed. The firm rarely hires management level or senior level people from other firms and only promotes internally. While it can be beneficial for career progression, this creates a very closed ecosystem without a lot of outside opinions with a lot of confirmation bias.

Third Bridge Response

Hi, Thanks for your review. Sorry it has taken a long time to write back to you. A rather uncomfortable read we must say. However, the good news is that since you left the company, we have made the following improvements: We have started hiring staff, including senior staff, from outside of the organisation and the sense that our culture is purely about a closed-ecosystem is not true anymore. Senior management have taken this very seriously. Yes, due to the nature of the industry and the job itself and the areas in which we work, it is sometimes not easy to find the talent that we need to fill in the shoes of people who have left or those who have moved on. However, some staff in the Forum and Connections team have been externally hired. Pros

Good entry-level opportunity with exposure to fast-paced, client-facing work. The company hires driven, sociable individuals and can be a strong starting point for building communication, prioritization, and execution skills in a high-performance environment.

Cons

High turnover and inconsistent management quality significantly impact the employee experience. Success is heavily dependent on your team lead and manager, with limited recourse if you’re placed under ineffective leadership. In my experience, poor communication, lack of emotional intelligence, and unclear expectations from management made it difficult to succeed and negatively affected day-to-day productivity. Internal processes around performance management and PTO lacked transparency. I was placed on a PIP and terminated shortly after (within a week) in a way that felt abrupt and not aligned with prior communication, which was initially framed as a discussion around pending PTO. There were also delays in PTO approvals, and I experienced issues with compensation adjustments following a promotion that required follow-up to resolve.
