Pros
Managers have your back Coworkers are nice, the younger ones are easy to get along with People are generally helpful Can get away with badmouthing Walmart to the customers.
Cons
-Start off part time, no matter what, so no benefits. -Terrible pay, you get a WHOLE 2% annual increase per year -Standing all the time is bad for legs and back (get compression socks and good shoes) -Lack of PPTO generation for part-time. If you're sick, well SOL, you gotta work because you lack the PPTO. -Lack of sick days or leniency -Management is nice but almost never around when you really need them -Dumb customers / rude customers who think a walmart employee is below them -Automated scheduling can ruin your work life balance, expect nonsensical shifts, expect your sleep to be ruined, and dreaming of Walmart every day. -You're just a number.
