Pros
10 percent discount. If you are willing to brown-nose, you can go as far as you want, so long as you don't p*ss off your superiors...
Cons
Management completely disregard what your availability is. If I say I cannot start work at 5 or 6am due to my diabetic pet's insulin regime, I mean I cannot start work at 5 or 6 am. I won't re-arrange my pet's schedule to suit the business. Especially when you aren't going to compensate me for the early shift, considering you give the overnight crew $2 more an hour to work overnight, putting out stock and they can't be bothered to put items in the correct aisle, let alone the correct mod. I have to waste time re-doing what was done wrong - which happens on a daily basis. I have never dropped F-bombs like I do here. I actually pestered the store manager for a job with Walmart a couple of times. The fact that he blew me off twice should have been a warning to myself not to bother. I had heard that Walmart was a great place to work and to a degree, that is vaguely true, but they are no different than any other current retail employer. Bigger doesn't mean better...
