The people are nice, but I wish I could take more pride in working for the world's largest retailer. - Project Analyst Walmart Employee Review

Pros

The people are great and really very helpful to newcomers. Plenty of ways to move around in the company. You can wear jeans everyday (exception when visiting other divisions of the company)

Cons

They don't buy you office supplies. The minimum full time week is 45 hours plus any project time over that. Lousy company stock matching (literally a fourth of what the other companies in the area match) Absurdly high Health deductible. Currently paying about ten to twenty thousand less a year than my colleagues with the same education and work experience in other companies. Upper management drinks the Walmart Kool-Aid. Just because the office is covered in Sam Walton quotes, it doesn't give the company integrity.

Pros

Clear unified intern program, lots of good learning opportunities

Cons

By nature of it being a big company, it hard to feel like you can have an impact

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
