Terrible management and terrible pay - Inventory Control Specialist Walmart Employee Review

Pros

You'll meet some interesting people. These employees are typically nice, but down on themselves. If you work with a team, like I did, you'll share many laughs in regards to the inefficiency of managerial demands, and their desperate ploys to maintain control. Humor can be therapeutic, sure, unfortunately here you need it to simply keep your head above water and not lose it. That's it.

Cons

The coworkers are all broken like horses, resigned to their positions in which they are regarded as children or animals, ridden hard and given little if any praise for a job well done, and never ever ever respected. Even if the employee has ten years experience, and the manager has just been hired and "just wants to learn," what the employee has to say is of no consequence, despite their advice proving time and time again to be valuable.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
