Pros

lack of managements accountability and competency

Cons

Unbelievable. With Master degree in computer science and 22 years of back to back well rewarded experience with few large companies was lured by hiring manger to join WF accepting pay cut back with hallow promise of increasing salary at the time I was blessed with two new children. After 2 year, since hallow promise did not materialized and due to family financial obligation I tried to jump to another group which matched my previous higher rank and pay which the new manager told me “looking forward to have you join my team”, but my manager unethically and selfishly sabotaged my reference not allowing me to move since I had done a very good job of managing and redesigning the applications. Soon after before I had a chance to change the company my wife filed for divorce due to financial pressure. Filed complain with HR, and each time management(S) further retaliated/harassed/abused me (no merit increase, no bonus, harsh comments, etc) at end I was terminated. Very interesting, later found at the same time that my performance review was written very well and been told by hiring manage “Sorry we can’t honor our promise and it is not fair” I found other team member(S) who were from their own same country who were younger less educated, less experience were promoted to higher level than me. Also others were permitted to attend to company paid training but I was not. The effect of all of this has been rather than being well off for retirement being able to comfortably support my family and myself, I am unable to.

Pros

Great company to build experience and grow professionally. The benefits and PTO were excellent, and there were many opportunities for career development and internal growth. I learned a lot during my time there, especially in operations, customer service, and working in a fast-paced environment. Management was supportive and often acted more like career coaches, encouraging employees to develop new skills and move forward in their careers. I also built strong friendships and professional connections that I still value today.

Cons

The role could be demanding because Operations Managers often had responsibilities across multiple areas of the branch. At times, it felt like being the bridge between upper management, bankers, tellers, and customers all at once. In addition to management responsibilities, I was also expected to assist on the teller line, maintain a cash drawer, and help resolve escalated customer concerns. The workload could occasionally feel heavy for one person, especially in busy branches.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
