Pros

Training, Infrastructure, On-sites. Overall a good company for fershers

Cons

Once a employee joins as a fresher, he/she should change his/her company max within 2/3 years, else financially he/she is never going to grow. The company will be glad to pay you a decent hike if you quit and join the company again in a years time, but not if you stick to the company. If you stick to the company, you are taken for granted. The salaries are nowhere comparable to what market offers, even managers in the company will agree to that. The only way out is an on-site or quit. Laterals who join your project will be earning much higher than you. They say to have a process of normalization of salary which believe me never happens. You are forced to take Competency Exams that would definitely not improve competency. This is a just reason the company uses to down your appraisal ratings, hikes and promotions My appraisal rating has always been "Meeting Expectations" and that's not because they are not happy with my work or have anything negative to say about my work. Its because I have just the minimum CPI (Competency P... Index) . This a company that supply technical manpower and this is how they work. Their business model is successful and we cannot blame them. Just remember "NEVER LOVE YOUR COMPANY". Join the company only for 2 options 1. You need some on-site to earn money 2. You have no other option Being a project manager is the worst job in the company. I had always felt pitty for each one of them. 1. Finding it difficult to retain an employee, they have a very bad time with Customers 2. Processes in the name of quality is big overhead 3. Requires managers to collect data which is not practical and is always manipulated to satisfy the QC team 4. Managers will never be able to concentrate in the core project needs 5. Should be able to convince your employees in case of resignation, without any benefits to the employee ( They are rated based on how they can do that ) But if you can survive all these and get into the upper management

Pros

Good place for freshers and early‑career professionals to learn technologies, processes, and client interaction, with “huge opportunities for learning new things.”

Cons

Onboarding for freshers can be slow and confusing, with delays before real project allocation

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
