Pros

Constant daily emails about improving your digital skills through their platform. The biggest perk of the team I'm on is that I can be on site for our client and not deal with Wipro corporate as much.

Cons

Impossible to get a straight answer from anyone (managers, HR, employee helpline) without getting passed back and forth between the same people until one of them finally caves. They just push off all tasks to you, if you need information, you need to dig it up yourself by navigating their massive, barely functional employee portal. Even when you and others have issue accessing sections of the portal (such as time off, healthcare, etc), their helpline insists you to visit that area instead of working with you to find a solution. Get everything in writing, email, etc. Forward that to personal email so you have proof later on. Not just at the interview stage, at any stage of being involved with this company. They will later go back on their word for both tiny issues (such as getting supplies to do your job) as well as big issues (benefits related, setting up a payroll deduction for HSA). Follow up with whoever you talk with, list out what you wanted done and the expected end result each time. Hold their hand every step.

Pros

There are no pros to working for Wipro.

Cons

This company is a sh** show. There are too many managers and less and less people to do the actual work. They have people that negotiate contracts and then expect the company to make money. In reality, most of the time the contract is basically giving the house away. It is the employees that suffer. When the contracts go south, they cut more people. Those people are then screwed over. Be warned!! If your position ends on the 25th of the month, your health insurance also ends on the 25th of the month. Note that the premium you paid, is not pro-rated, justifying the end of coverage on the 25th. You still pay the usual premium, which should then have your coverage run through the end of the month. If they can destroy a person, they will. They want more and more and more from their employees. While they preach all this mental health, work life balance, it's a sham. They have no regard for the well being of the employee, which carries over to the employee's family.
