Pros

Newer equipment with new equipment coming everyday. Good tech support and tools.

Cons

Upper management gives you unrealistic numbers to meet. Always wanting more, you can double your workload and next time they expect you to triple it. AI is a big part of the company. It seems like AI will be running the company before long and people in the office will not be needed.

Supportive leadership turned toxic with low pay and isolation

Pros

When I started with EquipmentShare we had a mid level leadership team who was there to drive success for the employees AND the company. There was support, training, friendships district wide.

Cons

Pay is on the low end and could be better. Now management doesn’t care at all about employees, the never check in on you unless it’s to tell you that you did something wrong. There’s no training or feedback. Employees feel isolated and friendships are used against you with management frequently trying to drive wedges between employees. Unless you came from the H&E crowd (where upper management is from) you’re going to lose every single time.

Pros

Very well balanced management team at the local level and all employees at the branch work well together. Upper management and owners understand the importance of safety and investing in both the safety of its team members as well as the employee. Very solid leadership and the Visio moving forward is exciting.

Cons

Only that I have to commute more than I have recently but worth it in the end.

Promising company led in the wrong direction

Pros

Hardworking people at the branch level who truly care about their jobs. The company once had great potential and solid values. With previous district level leadership it felt fair and supportive.

Cons

Since the new the district level leadership , the culture has gone downhill fast. Micromanagement has replaced trust, and there’s more focus on saving pennies than building profitability. I’ve already seen several managers let go in short succession, and another pair on their way out. It’s also hard not to notice how many former employees from a recently closed competitor are being placed throughout the company — not just in upper management, but in various positions at different levels. It almost feels like an intentional effort to move existing people out and replace them with “their own.” Turnover is rising, morale is dropping, and leadership seems blind to it.

Poor Leadership

Pros

Very well funded, they've done a good job of securing capital for expansion. Corporate headquarters has a laid back, Google like vibe, feels like a high tech environment.

Cons

Zero leadership, there is no communication from leadership, no market strategy, no consensus building. Decisions are made at the CEO level without input from qualified team members. Upper management, what there is of it, behaves in the same manner, not receptive to constructive input. The corporate culture is negative and moral is low.

Pros

-Jabbok and Willie have a great vision and truly want to create the best work-life balance a company can in such a demanding industry. The company offers a lot of nice perks including "dinner on us", Wellable app, earned time off through health practices, meal planning, they are very generous with tool reimbursements, safety boot reimbursement and the health insurance plan even includes a high deductible plan that is paid in full by the company.

Cons

-Upper management is clueless and has lost sight of what really happens in a branch during day to day operations. -Some of the leadership don't belong where they are, they're too busy talking in metaphors and reminiscing on their glory days as a Branch Manager. They don't spend enough time in a location to truly understand what isn't working. -HR cannot be trusted by employees to do the right thing and they do not practice confidentiality even though they say they do. -There is a HUGE divide between sales and operations and although everyone is aware of it, no one seems to want to change it. -Most sales people are arrogant, rude and only care about themselves and their commissions. -New hires who come in with a lot of experience and great ideas get shunned by the employees who have been there from earlier on, leaving the company to make the same mistakes over and over again. -Upper management is too worried about keeping their jobs instead of actually leading their teams. -Operations is being held accountable for revenue and profit, and sales is barely being held accountable at all. -It seems like the place is becoming a revolving door instead of a place to be mentored or cultivated for future internal growth. Lots of turn and burn, especially on the sales side of things.

Hoping for change

Pros

Amazing product and wonderful & smart coworkers. So much potential. Love the fast paced environment and opportunity to make an impact

Cons

culture is changing but hoping things will get back to the way they were. Everyone works really hard and middle management is awesome, but upper management is not recognizing that and putting big blockers up.

Pros

Company truck and decent pay.

Cons

Terrible upper management. Brought in managers from other companies and nobody is on the same page. Backstabbing sales team with no accountability. Poor equipment service and constantly upsetting customers without a care. Response is just go get more customers.
