Pros

People, Culture and work flexibility which used to be top notch back in early days of 2010 started going downwards from 2017 onwards.

Cons

I regret to say that my experience working at Forrester Reseach was deeply disheartening and left me with a negative impression of the company as a whole. What used to be an employee friendly company - known for its culture, work life balance and friendly policies, turned into hire and fire culture company lately. They started 2023 by laying off 80 people in Jan followed by another round of 150 layoffs in May 2023. These layoffs had no human touch and people with 10+, 15+ and even 20+ years of experience of working in Forrester were let go in like 15 mins. Many roles were handed over to Whites/Caucasian people in the barb of leadership moving to Europe/US. Out right Racist thinking and actions. The executive leadership is blind folded and have hired some really incompetent and lackadaisical business functions leaders. I strongly advise individuals from all racial backgrounds to reconsider working at Forrester, until they address and eradicate the toxic culture of racial discrimination within their organization. It is imperative that they take proactive measures to educate their employees, implement diversity and inclusion training, and enforce strict policies against any form of discrimination.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. I’m sorry to read you left us disappointed. It would be impossible for me to adequately convey how much thought and careful planning go into the difficult decision to let employees go. Saying goodbye to colleagues and friends is really hard and it’s important to note that we support every terminated employee with severance and career placement assistance. To be very clear, we have a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind. We encourage all employees to participate in anti-discrimination and inclusion training throughout the year to help ensure a safe and productive workplace. Additionally, we are launching a “Courageous Conversations” series to empower and equip employees with tools to contribute to an inclusive culture. We’ll continue to implement new initiatives as our Diversity & Inclusion function evolves under our new Director of D&I hired earlier this year. My door is open to you if there’s anything else you’d like to share. You can reach me at emessier@forrester.com. Thank you. Erin

Pros

It used to be a good organization but things are exactly reversed as of 2024.

Cons

1) Persistent Layoffs: Multiple rounds of layoffs starting from 2022. 2)Lack of Job Security: Employees are constantly fearful of losing their jobs, impacting morale and productivity. 3)Challenges in Commitment: Saying something doing something specially in tech. 4)Loss of Expertise: High turnover resulting from layoffs leads to a loss of valuable institutional knowledge and expertise. 5)Need for Transparency
