    I worked at Innosight full-time

    Pros

    1. Analysts and associates are wonderful - a rare combination of very nice and smart people. Would give a solid 5 rating to them. 2. Most of the Principals are great. Hopefully, things will improve as they become Partners at the firm. 3. Opportunity to do more, learn more than at larger firms

    Cons

    1. Partners don't practice what they preach i.e., they aren't adapting to the changing times and lack a clear vision. No diversity in the leadership - out of 10 odd partners there is one woman, and no person of color. 2. Several managers left in recent years which means great individual contributors who remained were promoted. Without adequate training and mentorship, they perform poorly as managers.

I have been working at Innosight full-time

    Pros

    Smart junior consultants. Pleasant colleagues

    Cons

If you are applying to be an analyst out of college, don't. The place does not have any intention nor plan for analyst retention and promotion. The place is also very top heavy with few analysts and associates. The ones at the bottom end up doing all the work with little rewards, appreciation, and recognization.

I have been working at Innosight full-time

    Pros

    Working with smart junior colleagues

    Cons

Senior leadership lacks diversity. Minority junior consultants are often passed on in promotion or acknowledgement. Borderline xenophobia exists in the all-white male dominated leadership and culture.

I worked at Innosight full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-Opportunities to grow both core consulting and soft skills -Great group of employees -Able to spend most of your time solving the best types of consulting problems (Upfront strategy, capability building, and accelerating new businesses)

    Cons

-As the company continues to scale leadership should be mindful of the culture built over the first 20 years -Pay overall is fairly comparable but could be higher based on individual performance

    I worked at Innosight full-time

    Pros

    • High-visibility "pure-play" strategy projects focused on growth (you'll work on intellectually stimulating issues) • Exposure to C-level executives in Fortune 500 companies (although not every project) • Extremely talented, sharp consultants • Market-tested value prop and differentiation (mid to long-term strategic planning, which plays to Innosight's strengths)

    Cons

    • High variability in styles and caliber in leadership team (consulting teams often get widely different experiences across projects depending on which partner is leading them; it is unclear if everyone in partner team "pulls their weight" from a client, firm, and people development standpoint) • Relatively thin playbook to solve projects (overreliance in future back and jobs to be done methodologies; quantitative / financial analysis not done nearly enough to complement (substantiate?) strategy advice) • Opportunity to institutionalize internal knowledge (despite the thin playbook, partners often define and use the same concepts differently; project management practices are generally subpar, leading to churn and unnecessary fire-drills) • Top-down mentorship and coaching is lacking (while progress has been made recently, apprenticeship model is virtually non-existent; building up the next generation of Innosoght leaders is not a priority for some partners, who almost seem to resort to a "sink or swim" approach to people development)

I have been working at Innosight full-time

    Pros

Innosight works on some of the most interesting and challenging business problems related to disruption and new growth. The combination of strategy and innovation makes the work very interesting.

    Cons

The main challenge is to answer difficult questions around disruption and new growth in a relative short period of time. The work is demanding and the travel can be extensive.

    Cons

Still working through some functional issues brought about by the acquisition by Huron, Office location (not in downtown Boston)

    I worked at Innosight full-time

    Pros

Fascinating projects; incredible cohort of employees with broad experience. Kindness and humility seems to be a common trait amongst employees. Excellent benefits.

    Cons

Professional development could be managed more objectively. Leadership needs to shift from being problem-solvers of cases to being leaders of people.
