Not worth the time

Pros

Depending on site you’re assigned there may be benefits provided by that company. Otherwise, you get absolutely nothing from Insight global

Cons

Horrible communication, you are just a number and there will be frequent furloughs. You don’t get holiday pay, PTO, and health benefits cost about 1/3 of your biweekly pay. If the site/company doesn’t have a productive quarter you can expect a layoff with at max 4 days notice. They will agree to pay you higher than the industry standard knowing in advance that there will be standard holiday furloughs of no pay with mo opportunity to make up. In the end whatever the agreed number be prepared to make far less.

Pros

None none none none none

Cons

Laid off after just one month after being told that there would be no layoffs (that was a lie). I was on the same project for 6 years. My place of work become a toxic environment after this company took over. There was mistrust, name calling, finger pointing, and there were micro aggressions. I am considered neuro divergent by the way. Needless to say, I will never work for this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Pros

- Job Security: I have been with Insight Global for 10 years - through covid and recession fears, but this is a company committed to its people. Insight Global has never done layoffs and executive leadership is vocal about never doing layoffs - Ability for Lucrative Compensation: competitive commission percentages and commission is uncapped. Eligibility for annual bonuses with bonuses given to any employee who meets the criteria, not capped at a certain percentage of people - Training and Development: continual development and very in depth training throughout the early stages of your career

Cons

- Starting salary is low

Pros

- You will meet your best friends here - Opportunity to grow (if they like you) - Opportunity to make money (again, if they like you) - No layoffs - Offices are in great locations - Open floor plan - Fun incentive trips (when they decide not to cancel them) - Great place to work for women

Cons

- It's sort of like high school, if management likes you personally then you will be successful. If they don't like you, get ready for a bad territory and no direction. - All depends on who your manager is. Some Sales Managers are attentive and helpful, others don't know which way is up. - If you are a man, run away. The sales team is 90% women (no joke) and they play favorites. Everyone is close knit but be careful how you interact with coworkers, even outside the office. - Difficult weekly metrics. Some people love it, but others can't keep up. They will put you on a performance plan if you fall behind on your weekly metrics. - Low low low low salary. Even when you are senior, your base will be way below average. - They will force you out if you've been there a long time and they do not see you going into leadership. - Senior leadership/management cuts back on important things since they're not doing well but they still travel a lot to HQ and have their women leadership summits (which cost a lot of money).

Pros

First off, I truly couldn't imagine myself anywhere else. Getting my foot in the door at IG has honestly changed my life. 1. Our People - our Atlanta HQ location is filled with so many wonderful people. We have a very blended demographic, and the diversity makes for great collaboration. Everyone at Corporate is so kind, supportive, and it really does feel like a family to me. Sure, there are very different personality types, but I truly can't say that I don't enjoy working with anyone here at HQ. 2. Culture - over time, there's been a big shift in focus on mental health, wellbeing, and individual employee fulfillment. There are so many incentives, opportunities, and resources for us. I truly feel that the organization listens to what we want, and they try their best to cater to that. 3. Opportunity - this is probably the biggest highlight. The opportunity here is a little mind-blowing. I've been offered really incredible opportunities to grow and develop my career. If you show up and put in the effort, you will be rewarded. 4. Flexibility - to reiterate my above sentiment, you will be rewarded if you put in the effort. As long as I'm moving the needle, leadership works with me to make sure I can address any personal matters as they come. 5. Stability - the company has never done layoffs, so I feel a great sense of job security which I appreciate.

Cons

I'll start by addressing my headline - the grass is always greener on the other side. Do I think there are things we need to work on? Yes. But do I see the company making strides to work on these areas? Yes! No company is going to be perfect, and I've seen a lot of people draw comparisons and almost take things for granted to where they leave and then want to return once they realize they might've not appreciated what they really had. However, I do think there are a couple of areas for improvement. 1. Compensation - I think there's room for improvement in regard to some compensation structures. As a company, we've been getting better with annual merit increases and so on. The room for growth/opportunity and stability does mitigate this. If you come in and make a name for yourself through hard work, there's lots of room for generous compensation increases. Whether it's through a promotion on your team or transferring to a different team internally, there's really good earning potential (that's been my personal experience, at least). I've worked with folks who may've been offered a higher salary at a different company, but then reconnected after they were impacted by layoffs, etc. 2. Sales Culture - the culture of sales vs. corporate is very different. Our salespeople are compensated differently (largely commission-based) whereas our corporate folks are hourly/salary with some bonus opportunity. I think our sales folks have a 'go, go, go' mindset which can sometimes come off as aggressive or assertive to the corporate population. In sales, you might be trying to drive something to the finish line at the very end of the day in order to make that extra bit of commission or at least move closer to that. There's no big incentive for corporate folks to stay on after hours or really drive that to completion, so I think it can cause some friction depending on the situation.

Pros

- Made good friends - My direct leadership was fine - Saw some success

Cons

-Seeing the use of narcotics at work events, even from management level individuals -People driving home intoxicated from work happy hours, and no expenses allowed for Ubers to some events -numerous sexual harassment cases that there was no correction of - AM's having to retro pay their hard earned commission back due to past billing errors they didn’t have control over -When you are scheduled for a training at HQ you are paired up with a random roommate to share a hotel room with, one time my female colleague was paired with a married man by accident -During a sales conference, they overbooked hotels, that coworkers were obviously prepared to share rooms but many actually had to share beds as well - Poor and expensive medical benefits, only $250 dollar added to 401k yearly, poor PTO policies. - Extremely low base salary, and weekly commission structure that can change at any moment - Base pay is unlivable, especially prior to a promotion when you are not making commission. Management justifies this base salary due to a “work hard play hard mentality” when that’s not the case since territory is based on luck, connections or past relationships. Also a lot of external companies do not have budget to use our services most of the time. IG embodies a 'we take care of each other' value, but this isn't the case. Leadership only sees you when you're making them money, and beyond that, there’s little regard for employee well-being. Benefits are lacking, expense allowances are being cut, there's zero flexibility with working hours. There are quiet layoffs constantly happening. It’s all about profit, not people.
