Pros

Supportive management, good training opportunities

Cons

The workload is generally more than can fit into a working day so most staff end up working evenings and weekends to catch up

Pros

I have a lot to be thankful for during my time at Lifetime. The opportunities provided have been valuable, and the training was once top-tier, with a strong focus on support and quality. The role can be very rewarding, and the basic pay is competitive.

Cons

Over recent years, there has been significant pressure on performance, with insufficient focus on meaningful learner interactions and the overall quality of delivery. Both operational effectiveness and quality assurance have been notably weakened. The approach has often prioritised quantity over impact, focusing too heavily on filling places rather than supporting outcomes—something the organisation has struggled to fully recover from since COVID. Within certain teams, there also appears to be a sense of favouritism, with limited recognition and inconsistent access to equal opportunities.

Thank you for your insightful feedback, it is great to hear that you had some positive experiences with Lifetime. As a business we strive to deliver quality experiences for our learners whilst making sure that we maintain a commercially viable business that enables us to continue to operate. Additionally we work hard to develop and embed equitable recognition and development opportunities for all of our colleagues, such as our Enhance award and our Grow conversations. I am sorry to hear that you did not feel you had this experience. I would be keen to get some context to your feedback and address some of the points you have raised. This would help to give me a better understanding of how your advice to management could have been rolled out across the business. This could help us to shape future improvements. Please feel free to contact me directly on felicity.white@lifetimetraining.co.uk.

Pros

Supportive team communities. Invested in internal training and career progression. Wide variety of personal growth opportunities. Most receptive to flexibility in skills, time and role (pro & con).

Cons

Constantly changing processes and hierarchy. Often fast paced and reactive rather than proactive.

Pros

It's fun. Lots of plates to spin, you won't be bored. Evenings and weekends off, early finishes on Friday. Well thought out, thorough training upon enrolment through the first six weeks. Get to meet loads of characters. Work life balance is fantastic, actively encouraged to not do overtime (which historically I'm bad for) - which prevents burnout and keeps work engaging. Great discount scheme Healthcare scheme Generous petrol payback Your in control of your own schedule, you'll definitely learn how to manage your time once you've overextended yourself. Extra monthly allowance for living in the South East (not sure if that's out of pity or because it's expensive)

Cons

Not a con, but it probably won't suit you if you don't have drive and can't multitask. The face to face requirements mean a lot of travel some weeks, which can eat into the early morning or evening, depending where you need to go. (This is possibly specific to my team)

Thanks for a fabulous review and your 5 star rating. It is much appreciated. With the changes in functional skills requirements which have now been implemented you will hopefully be able to see your learners achieve their apprenticeships without this as a barrier.
