Thanks for your review. We appreciate your comments. I would recommend that if you are struggling with your work life balance you link in first with your manager, who should support you in reviewing this. We have a number of options to help facilitate a good work life balance and would urge you to initiate this conversation to help impact this positively.

Pros

It's fun. Lots of plates to spin, you won't be bored. Evenings and weekends off, early finishes on Friday. Well thought out, thorough training upon enrolment through the first six weeks. Get to meet loads of characters. Work life balance is fantastic, actively encouraged to not do overtime (which historically I'm bad for) - which prevents burnout and keeps work engaging. Great discount scheme Healthcare scheme Generous petrol payback Your in control of your own schedule, you'll definitely learn how to manage your time once you've overextended yourself. Extra monthly allowance for living in the South East (not sure if that's out of pity or because it's expensive)

Cons

Not a con, but it probably won't suit you if you don't have drive and can't multitask. The face to face requirements mean a lot of travel some weeks, which can eat into the early morning or evening, depending where you need to go. (This is possibly specific to my team)

Thanks for a fabulous review and your 5 star rating. It is much appreciated. With the changes in functional skills requirements which have now been implemented you will hopefully be able to see your learners achieve their apprenticeships without this as a barrier.

Cons

Caseloads can fluctuate from being low to high Can be a stressful, but fulfilling role Difficult to support with functional skills and help learners achieve this

Pros

I joined the same time as our new CEO, David, and it is great that for a company so large, everyone is listened to. You can feel the company changing and moving in the right direction, there is always someone there to support you if needed. Some of the great things are: - You are in control of your own diary, so manage your learners to achieve a work/life balance. - My area manager is a great support and has been from the start - Lots of additional learning opportunity if you want to progress - It's a company that regularly carry out 121 reviews with you and genuinely care about you as an individual

Cons

- Can be difficult supporting learners with functional skills needs - Can be stressful, as sometimes it is not just the learner who you are trying to keep engaged but their line manager too!

Some good changes but more needed

Pros

Overall the learning coach role has some good benefits, that allow for good work life balance and autonomy. The systems make it easy enough to support the apprentices. Some good benefits and perks introduced in in the last year by the new people manager,

Cons

The organisation still seems very top heavy in terms of management or heads. All other areas of the business have been heavily streamlined but there are still a number of levels of management in this organisation where there is little understanding or impact felt from their work. Learning coaches are often expected to carry high caseloads or manage huge regional areas and are stretched which ultimately impacts on the success of the learners and yet the most part of any other work is often delegated or cascaded down through these many levels back to the learning coach to carry out on top of doing the larger part of the organisations work.

Thanks for your review and for providing some really helpful feedback and insights. I will flag this to our People Director and CEO so that they are able to explore this further and see if we can introduce some more changes to improve on where we are.
