Pros

All the pros of having a job. you get to pay rent and buy food.

Cons

Employees at the India (Hyderabad) office are at the absolute bottom of the food chain here in terms of how much the company cares about them. The company is not at all concerned with the well being/mental health or personal/proffesional growth of the employees. Unrealistic deadlines without any planning of any kind at any stage is the norm here. The sales team/leadership would promise features/products to clients without any kind of strategy or plan, and then all the pressure would be on the teams to get the feature shipped. No importance is given to design/architecture or building something properly. The leadership has no idea or interest in building good technology, neither do they have the technical know how. The guy who heads the technology doesn't know the difference between a POC, and an MVP ready for production. Almost all the products are full of hack jobs, that keep breaking, and then employees are pressured again to fire fight, make hot fixes, and somehow keep things running. rince . repeat. The result is the employees are constantly stressed out trying to meet unrealistic deadlines, and releases, and eventually burn out. And all of this while writing crappy code (since no time is given to research and build things well), and not following any good practices, which results in no growth in the employee's skill set. The company and leadership actively encourages working overtime and weekends, and people are made to feel guilty if they don't work 11-12 hours days. The line 'We are a growing startup, and this is how it is everywhere. Once we stabilize, things would get better' has been continuously fed to the employees as an excuse for terrible work culture and unreasonable work pressure for almost a decade since this company was founded All of the above is what the company expects from the employees. Now I'll come to how the company treats the employees. They used covid as an excuse to take as much advantage of their employees as they could. Even though there was no loss in revenue or business (Their business and clients actually grew during the pandemic. source : There is a company wide slack channel where all the new deals are posted), salary cuts were in place for months. Forget about hikes, the variable component of everyone's salary was cancelled. And while the current employees were being treated like this in the name of loss in revenue due to the pandemic, the company had enough money to acquire three companies during this time, and constantly hire new people every day for months. The leadership blatantly lies to the new joinees. Even while they were cancelling the variable pay of current employees, they were promising new joinees that no part of the variable pay would be deducted. Do not join this company under any circumstances if you value your sanity, or growth. DO NOT BELIEVE THE POSITIVE GLASSDOOR REVIEWS. Even though I haven't experienced this personally, there's many people who have told me that the HR regularly approaches recent hires to write positive reviews for the company on glassdoor. You dont even have to believe this review. Just contact current employees on linkedIn and ask them about the day to day here.verify everything i've written here from them. you'll get the same picture I am trying to paint.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. After taking your feedback to our leadership team for further discussion, we do want to clarify some details of the original review. Phenom implemented several programs during COVID-19 in India to address employee’s health and well-being. During the heightened months of the pandemic, we offered on-call doctor support and treatment for employees, dependents, and extended family members. Phenom distributed oximeters and immunity kits to employees during the heightened months of the pandemic. We also initiated a Call Center for the general public, which you can find at Swaasa.org . Today we continue to put psychological safety at the forefront. Phenom hosted two vaccine drives for employees and their families in both of our India office locations. During the pandemic, Phenom did a company-wide salary reduction to avoid layoffs. This philosophy ensured financial stability in times of uncertainty. Once the company adjusted and sales were streamlined, Phenom reversed the salary reduction and also paid back the income that was deducted from each employee. We wish that you would have had a more enjoyable experience during your time at Phenom, and we thank you again for sharing your feedback. We hope we were able to clarify some of your concerns.

Pros

First I would like to clarify on Rating 4.3 to this company. This is because of freshers who give 5 ratings without any option as forced by HR mostly hijacked(Don't belive!! read all 5 ratings it will have similar phrases). If you are a back biter, showy wants to drag work ( 2weeks into 6 months) this is your right organization.

Cons

You won't be valued until you are from IVY Computech or sit in junk meetings for hours and laugh at VP jokes. You will have two managements here in this company Top Management - who encourages to work and growth (at least in front of you) and actions will be exactly opposite to this executed by Middle management. Please adhere 80/20 and 9/6 principles before joining here.

Pros

Good learning curve and a great team to work with.

Cons

Have $30 Million in hand at a $300 valuation during covid haven't given a penny hike and stopped our bonuses which should be given at end of the month. Valuation skyrocketed to $1.3bn, Did you triple the salary or at least double the employee salaries? A lot of lies from the CEO and VP of India. They will give you a hike or re-negotiate your salary once you have a decent offer on the last week of your work at a company, they have a 90-day notice period. Not transparent. Disasterous benefits. Health insurance should be improved. After working for 12+ hours they would cry saying you haven't worked enough. The food they provide is a disaster.
