I worked at Quantium full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible Timings Easy visibility to stakeholders Work from home options Nice culture friendly folks

    Cons

*Lack of recognition * Petty office politics * No long term benefits *False promises There is no vision no projects and absolutely pathetic management. Most people pretend to work so that the management feels that the project is going on smoothly. People have very less knowledge about any technology for that matter ,so anyone who can spell some mumbo jumbo tech word would be considered a techie. As for those who were actually talented enough have happily found their way outside Quantium in extremely good companies. Those people who have never worked in a healthy, nourishing, competitive work culture, have very less experience are given opportunity to lead a team in which they fail miserably as they would just come to office to have tea and prepare for their wedding. And instead of taking up the responsibility they play blame game and take credit of your work and there is nothing you can do about it as the manager doesn't pay any interest in your project and only listens to the leads review. This is a small organization so there is absolutely no point of skip level meetings because by the time you reach your seat back after the meeting anything and everything that you said to the higher management or the HR will be conveyed to your team and then the rivalry will start. Yes, people here take things personally not even thinking about the other person's career. The company throws in a little extra money in terms of the compensation for lateral hires and within 2 weeks of joining people realize that they have made the wrong decision. There are a quite a few who are still struggling and thinking that they will stay at least 6 months in the organization so that it does not look bad on their profile as to leaving an organization within a month of joining.

I have been working at Quantium full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Good culture (people are friendly and treat each other with respect) - Some senior employees are doing awesome work and are great people to look upto and learn (if given opportunity to work with them) - No dress-code restrictions - TT, Xbox and flexibility for employees to work according to their convenience - Free snacks and frequent office parties (if you really care about such things)

    Cons

    - Australian administration clearly sees and uses us as 'cheap labour'. Pay-scale is low as compared to industry standards. This is an office backed by a flourishing Australian company, yet you can easily find other average Indian analytics startups paying their employees more. - The Australian leaders want us to remain just a back office. They don't want us to grow and learn, due to which they restrict Indian office from searching and winning projects from Indian clients. - Though certain people from certain teams may get decent work, but I've heard negative reviews from majority of the analysts on the work-quality. It is obvious that the idea is to push off all mundane and repetitive work to this back office. - Proper time and organized resources are not provided for learning and development. When this is addressed to the leaders, they just tell you to learn on your own when you get some "free time" in between projects (which practically doesn't happen). This is not their fault actually (honestly, the leaders here are nice people) but even their hands are tied due to pressure from Australian management. - To avoid the mediocre pay and mundane work, people here hope for long-term transfers to Australia. Others, well they simply switch because it is not hard to find jobs with better opportunities.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Quantium full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1) Chill out work place 2) less stress 3) Work-life balance 4) Avg payscale

    Cons

    1) No work culture among India operations heads and highly Unethical behaviour, yells/confronts/misbehaves in meeting rooms. 2) HR in India is not allowed to act on its own, they are mere spectators, only work on admin or office assistant jobs. 3) They are happy to screw with the employee career, even its their fault. 4) India is in the hands of an incompetent leadership, already few left due to one of the leads, who recently left, very soon half of analytics team will put their papers if India leadership is not changed 5)Once u get in then its not so easy to get out, u r not let to grow as growth is dependent only on experience within the company, many people here would die to get out 6) false promises with people at the time of interview 7) India is like a family run business, few leaders left and the present leadership is, was and will continue to be there as it is incapable of going elsewhere , no scope for anyone else to become leaders as a result of this 8)Extremely high attrition rate.

I worked at Quantium full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1) Decent work life balance 2) Gender equality is valued 3) It is in the process of becoming a multi national company 4) Get to work with some very talented people 5) A fun place 6) No stressful work, as the work is not challenging enough to make you stressed out

    Cons

    1) Instead of retrospecting the concerns raised by a non biased employee in previous glassdoor review, the management setup a meeting to desperately prove that the points were illegitimate, baseless and written by someone with no maturity. 2) The whole "relationship with a team member" point mentioned in the other review is felt by many people in the company. What he/she might not realize is that she is not the first person to have experienced something similar by the same guy. 3) Worst kind of politics in the company especially India. Most of it is attributed to the greed of people who are leading the analytics 4) Lack of analytical knowledge & experience of the leads motivated them to become people managers rather than business oriented managers. Some of them pretend they are highly experienced psychologists. They would jump at every chance to judge people based on their so called "culture survey". The very culture survey which didn't prevent people like them getting in to the company. 5) As an analyst i expect the lead to have a strong skillset so that he can help his reportees. Instead we have to rely on Australia team to solve even our minuscule problems. I bet very few people would agree that their lead is the goto person for their problems. If he/she is not the skilled in analytics, they might as well work in other departments which doesnt require much skill 6) The amount of unquestioning support received by one of the leads from the top management of India is unfathomable. I question their contribution as an analyst or as a lead from an analytics point of view. 7) The recent role changes are completely biased to few people towards whom favouritism is shown. 8) The core problem is that they think its a startup company. But in reality its just an outsourced company where mundane work is given out to Indian analysts. It makes me sad whenever i hear leads say "we are working on cutting edge analytics"

    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Quantium full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Not much to talk about, probably the free snacks is the best things about the company.

    Cons

Work is very boring and routine, all the unwanted work from Australian office gets shipped over here and the management portrays this as doing cutting edge analytics. Analysts here have no say in project scoping and design and management makes no effort to improve that. Efficiency at work is not much appreciated as long working hours for no obvious reasons is the norm. Management lacks vision big time.
