Short-term/Jumping Platform

Pros

1. Amazing colleagues who are willing to help you succeed together. They can become really close friends outside of work. However, most good ones have left, so can't say much for now 2. Excellent learning opportunity if you're in Sales, as the whole company is focused on this department only - you might think it's because the company is still small, but they've been going on as such for more than 10 years 3. Will definitely provide good exposure to a diverse background of stakeholders whom you deal with on a daily basis 4. One of the best Cloud POS platforms in the country, but competitors are stepping up really close 5. Salary & benefits are above market average, but unless you managed to climb the ladder, bonus is not existent and increment is rarely heard of. Good as a jumping platform to your next company

Cons

1. Doesn't care about employees & client retainment - never ending head hunting 2. All about chasing sales to show investors nice figures, a lot of pressure on the sales team to achieve unrealistic targets 3. Looks good on the outside, but really empty on the inside. Investors should especially avoid! 4. Almost every colleague you meet is looking out for a better opportunity 5. Micro-management at max, no trust in employees. Depends on the department though *This might sound overexaggerated, but talk to any Hubber, they'll probably share roughly the same thought

Pros

work life balance before, colleagues are nice to work with, but most of the excellent guys are already gone.

Cons

Always cannot get the salary on time in CN team and you cannot imagine the managers never apologize for it. There is no respect at all. The progression book they made is just for degrading their employees and avoid raising salaries. Products releases are quite slow which caused by inefficient management and they always comes up with new ideas which is labour costing but no benefits. Bosses are arrogant who enjoy people licking A-S-S and keen on micromanagement . Instead of respecting people with skills , actually they are fear of them since they will lose their face by comparing. So they are surrounded by people with no ability but will never say no to them. The managers only cares about their own profits and push almost all of the work down and take no responsibility for. They hire only for satisfying the boss. Sometimes without them, the company can save a lot and work better.

Pros

A selected few people are what’s keeping the organization from losing its authenticity

Cons

- High pressured startup(even after being in existence for 10years) and overworked staff - Unsupportive Micromanagers that snatches your credits when due - Constantly changing structure for performance reviews to avoid recognising talent when due (Progression and Increment is only dream) - Extremely high turnover for most departments - 0 benefits (stocked pantry is not an actual benefit btw, regardless, the pantry is never stocked sufficiently) - MacBook is for working purpose, nothing to regard as benefit too - Not flexible enough as per other startups - No such thing as work life balance - Staff gossips alot (everyone knows everyone’s dirty laundry) - HR does not advocate for staff much

Pros

- Great support system. Colleagues are extremely helpful and friendly, even cross-functionally. There’s no bureaucracy. - You WILL be pushed to reach your potential. As long as you look for it, there are always opportunities for you to learn and grow. - Fair work-life balance. Leaves and weekends are generally respected, barring unusual circumstances like emergencies. - Good tools to work with – data is easily and readily available to anyone who needs it or is curious.

Cons

- Benefits and rewards structure could be better. Leave entitlement starts from only 14 days during the first year of service, and tiered subsequently. - Extremely fast-moving. You’ll need to be quick to pivot, otherwise, it’s easy to be left behind. - The employee turnover makes it difficult to have constants.

A good place to build your career, and gain knowledge and also experience. Also a good company name to add into your resume. Good colleagues, except all of them are all leaving too.

Cons

The benefits are too little, close to none. The management nowadays are not flexible at all.

High learning curve with frequent changes

Pros

The company provides a strong platform for learning, especially with its adoption of AI. Employees are given a lot of autonomy to explore ways to improve day-to-day tasks and processes. Some departments offer hybrid work arrangements, which adds flexibility. There is minimal hierarchy, and employees are often given opportunities to lead projects or take ownership of end-to-end processes, which is great for personal and professional growth. In terms of benefits, the company provides season parking, a MacBook, and a free-flow pantry, which are appreciated and add to employee convenience.

Cons

There are frequent changes, which can make it challenging to manage expectations. Working with stakeholders is not always easy due to communication gaps. At times, direction or expectations change along the way, and teams are expected to adapt quickly. Additionally, there are occasions where clear guidelines are lacking, which can create confusion and slow down execution.
