Best company I've ever worked for
16 Feb 2023 - Lead Maintenance Technician in Louisville, KYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The Connor Group is a place for highly motivated individuals looking for a lifelong career. Awesome benefits including Healthcare, vision, and dental. 401k and Competitive pay with no cap on wages. You get what you give here. Never in my life have I had a company recognize hard honest work like they do at the Connor Group. They will pay for all your training and certifications. They openly recognize and reward all their employees that are meeting standards and goals. I'm constantly surrounded by incredibly knowledgeable people that I can learn from every single day. The leadership I've encountered at the Connor Group has been second to none! Not only job mentors but life mentors too. They care about their people more than any company I've ever worked for. If you are looking for a fast paced elite work place this place is for you. There's travel opportunities. Leadership opportunities. You get what you give here and the sky is the limit. The company has 5 core values that every employee strives to live by, and after being here and seeing them implemented its hard not to incorporate them into your everyday life too. They are: DO THE RIGHT THING PEOPLE COUNT LIVE THE CIRCLE OF SUCCESS THINK LONG TERM NOT SHORT TERM and my personal favorite RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF EXELLENCE If all that sounds life changing to you. That's because it is! Come work here if you're a driven individual, Committed to doing the right thing for residents, and want to change your life.
Cons
I've worked here for a year and have yet to find a con worth putting here. You are what makes the difference between having pros and cons here.
Great to hear!
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
The base pay was great, commission was blah. You miss one month, and it halves your commission for the next 3 months. Even once you get past that, the commission isn't that great. The Google review pay was nice though. You will meet some great co-workers, but don't trust anyone. Everyone here gossips and lies to get in favor with management.
Cons
You have to be ok with getting literally screamed at and called names to work there. By management, by lead sales, by upper management when they visit. It's really normal to them to express things that way. Also, firing people quickly is the norm. You make one mistake you're out that day. There is no 2 weeks notice, if you try to give notice, they tell you to get out. I watched someone who made all their goals consistently for months get fired because they listened to one phone call she took (all your calls are recorded and reviewed) and didn't like that she was honest about the price ranges to the potential renters. You have to be ok with lying to people looking for an apartment, even if you know they can't afford it. Even if they are on disability you still have to lie about their ability to get approved to get their non refundable application fee. Honestly, working here made me feel like I had to take 3 showers every night to feel clean again.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We do have great pay and bonuses are amazing, but yes you do need to hit your goals to get a bonus. We do have very direct feedback but do not scream or name call. We would never terminate anyone who was consistently hitting goals based on a phone call unless they did something unethical on on a call which we have zero tolerance for. Thank you for your more than 1 year of service, obviously something changed recently as what you wrote (although non of it is aligns with how we actually operate) is not what a person would really feel nor would they stay for over a year. Would be happy to discuss what changed with you. 397-434-3095 - ask for Chris.

Elite mindset, career growth, competitive benefits package
8 Mar 2023 - Property Manager in Denver, CORecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- You surround yourself with the BEST talent in the country - Training and development is the core fundamental for the company’s success, I have worked with two of the best retailers in the world and the constant training I’ve received with The Connor Group is truly unparalleled - Talk about a company who has clear goals and a vision with clear expectations - A company that truly lives by their core values day in and day out. From your sales team all the way to the CEO, it’s cultural and organic - You have knowledgeable resources and always there to support your growth and performance - Amazing benefits package for my family and I, best one I’ve had in my career - Recognition is another big pro for TCG, If you perform at an elite level, you will be recognized. Your performance never goes unnoticed - There is no ceiling when it comes to your career growth, you control your own path based off your efforts and results
Cons
- You must have grit and be able to receive feedback and grow from it. To me personally it is not a con but can be for certain people. - You will have longer days than other during your training, but again you can’t master your craft if you don’t grind.

absolutely love working for TCG
15 Mar 2023 - Sales Representative in Atlanta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
My experience working did TGC thus far has been so amazing. Everyone welcomed me so positively and went above and beyond to make sure I got acclimated and well-trained to be successful in my new career. Their expectations are clear and we accumulative set goals for ourselves, the property, and region. When we hit any of those goals we are recognized, celebrated, and rewarded. TCG management sets their employees up for growth and successful in the company and in a monetary way also. Very happy with my colleges and the work I do. Honestly excited to come to work every day and actually miss being at work on my days off when i see my colleagues in our group chat closing new deals and renewing leases!
Cons
You have to have tough skin, and be open to criticism and extreme honesty. everyone is encouraged to fully transparent and speak bluntly so there is no miscommunication and always clear expectations. Some people may not have the confidence and humility to handle that, or the tough skin needed to not get their feelings or ego hurt.

Pros
The Connor Group puts their money where their mouth is, literally. They will do the right thing no matter what. You won't have to guess how you are doing. You will know exactly what is expected in your role and you will get honest feedback with the resources you need to improve. At The Connor Group the saying "you get out what you put in" actually means something. Excellence is rewarded and recognized here more than anywhere else. The company invests heavily in personal and professional development. People here care about improving themselves and the people around them. You will be better off if you work here. You don't come to The Connor Group to get a "job", you come here for a Career. Pay and benefits are best in class. Dogs are welcomed at the Central Support Office.
Cons
The company culture is not one size fits all. If you fit the culture, there are no cons.

Cons
- Normal working hours are longer than most companies.

Hard work, High reward
6 Feb 2023 - Communications Specialist in Miamisburg, OHRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Everyone who is successful here works very hard and is accountable. There are no slackers or people just getting by. I take a lot of pride in what I do, so being able to ask questions or just approach others and NEVER get the run around is refreshing. Also competitive pay, great benefits, being recognized for hard work and the sky is the limit as far as your own personal growth. They will teach you skills that will not only help you in your professional life, but also personal. You just have to show up ready to work and have a positive attitude. If you are the person who wants to earn everything you have... this is the place for you.
Cons
Work life balance is tough, but not impossible. You have to plan accordingly and put the effort into your schedule for work and personal life. Everyone's determination and the longer hours can be a culture shock at first. I've never worked in a place where everyone is truly striving to be the very best they can be and not just saying it. The people here don't just talk the talk, they run the walk. For the wrong people this is a con.

Pros
There are a number of great pros to working at The Connor Group. One pro is that People Count. These are not just words and part of our Core Values. At all levels of the organization it is demonstrated that the People that work at The Connor Group are the #1 key to The Connor Group's success. And, the People are rewarded well for their contribution to that success! Another pro is The Connor Groups benefit package. The Connor Group touts having a World Class benefits package. And the fact is, they do have a World Class benefits package. The last pro I will list, but definitely not the last pro that The Connor Group has, is their 401k company match. Based on your years of service The Connor Group will match up to 100% of the first 9% of the employee's contribution to their 401k plan! WOW.... That is amazing....
Cons
It is hard to think of any cons of The Connor Group as it is such a great place to work. The only thing I can say is working for The Connor Group is not for everyone. If you are just looking to show up and expect a paycheck and not actually become a part of The Connor Group this is not the job for you.
