Pros

Generally fun and laid back atmosphere, likable coworkers Easy job to get if you’re struggling to find something

Cons

Low pay. Management has more incentive to hire someone off the street than to give established workers raises. No room to move up. Higher management will bring in family members or outsiders before promoting from within. Toxic relationship between upper management and workers. They make empty promises with no intention of following through and will smile to your face as they lie to you. Unsafe working conditions. Average 90-100 degrees in the kitchen in the summer. Fixing this would cost them money they would rather pad their salaries with. Food waste. They sometimes advertise on job ads that they offer free food. This is true for workers who are designated as “trainers” who get a gift card for food. Otherwise they throw extra food away rather than allow their workers to eat it. This company was bought out by an investment firm who has a laser focus on cutting costs and increasing profit so that they can turn around and hopefully sell the company for profit. They are not investing in the long term. Their last concern is the physical, mental or economic wellbeing of their employees.

Pros

Besides the maybe once a week free pizza that everyone shares in the kitchen. Or the $5 - $10 gift card you can earn randomly for overworking yourself. Not much. You learn how to make "Detroit style" deep dish pizza; which is a phrase made by the company. Pizza in a pan. They do have insurance if you work there a year.

Cons

You will be incredibly overworked depending on what you do here, as a dishwasher you will be a one man team most likely doing dishes for the kitchen and floor. working hours after everyone leaves because no one will help (in my experience). Moving up in the company will be halted unless you are willing to be there for years at a barely supplemental hourly rate. And under-paid despite profits. My store was recording a 3x profit increase during Covid-19 though everyone never receive a better salary through the immense work increase. The lead line cooks made around 14.50 during my time and dishwashers 13.50. No scheduled breaks besides lunch. You don't leave your post unless you get permission from a shift lead.

Pros

I didn’t hate my coworkers

Cons

Didn’t inform us when we were exposed to Covid. Suspended workers who were vocal when so many staff had Covid they had to shut down stores. Sexual harassment is consistently swept under the rug and when women complained they were told it was due to “cultural differences” or it was because the harasser was “from a different generation” or “it’s just a joke”. One worker was so afraid of a male coworker stalking her through the store she began carrying a weapon with her on shift. Kitchen staff were getting paid as little as $12 an hour in 2021 and you have to harass management to pay out referral bonuses or bonuses offered for picking up shifts. Staff are so miserable they are either calling out or crying on shift. Casual racism is no big deal. A total hellhole. Avoid at all costs
