Pros

At Marcus Evans, I've discovered a workplace that truly values performance and offers opportunities for growth and success. Financial Rewards: Marcus Evans provides attractive incentives, including commissions, bonuses, and performance-based rewards. These incentives significantly boost earnings and motivate us to consistently achieve sales targets. Professional Growth: The company invests in employee development, offering opportunities for sales professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge. International Exposure & Knowledge: One of the most exciting aspects of working at Marcus Evans is that the top performers have opportunity to travel internationally for events. This exposure not only expands our knowledge of specific industries but also broadens our global perspective. Supportive Team Environment: The team environment at Marcus Evans is supportive, fostering collaboration and mutual support among colleagues. Recognition and Rewards: Top performers at Marcus Evans are publicly recognized and rewarded for their achievements. This culture of appreciation and motivation encourages continuous improvement and drives excellence within the sales team. Networking Opportunities: Working on international events provides ample networking opportunities with clients, partners, and industry professionals worldwide. These connections have been invaluable in expanding network and opening doors to new business opportunities. Office Hours: While sales roles often require long hours, in our case, we strictly adhere to the allotted hours. Additionally, we enjoy all major public holidays off and do not work weekends. Overall, Marcus Evans offers a dynamic and rewarding sales environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded, and where employees are supported in their professional growth and development.

Cons

While incentives and bonuses can significantly boost earnings, sales professionals often have a variable income that depends on their personal performance. Resilience in the Face of Rejection: Sales professionals encounter rejection frequently, as not every sales pitch leads to a successful deal. Therefore, individuals with strong determination may perform more effectively in such roles. Competitive Environment: The sales industry is highly competitive, and sales person may find themselves competing with colleagues for opportunities, recognition, and advancement. Pressure: While there are moments of intensity in meeting targets and quotas, they provide opportunities for personal and professional development. It's crucial for sales professionals to thoughtfully consider these factors and evaluate how they resonate with their career aspirations, personal values, and lifestyle preferences before embarking on a role at Marcus Evans or any other esteemed sales organization.

Thank you for your review and insight into your personal experience. As you mentioned, we do have a great working environment to be proud of. We're working hard to surround ourselves with talented, productive and positive team members. We do make sure our employees are rewarded for their hard work and receive the incentives they deserve to keep them motivated and content at what they do. We offer many benefits such as travel opportunities, bonuses, promotions and many more. We understand that working in the event industry can be challenging and each role has targets to achieve. Taking care of our team is one of our core values, and we would like to thank you for being a part our marcusevans family. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm disappointed to hear that your experience at marcusevans didn't live up to our goal of providing you with a great place to work. We take everyone’s feedback seriously and it is particularly important to us to listen and take action in order to provide a healthy environment for our employees which is what we have been doing for 40 years. We do not expect anyone to work beyond there standard working hours, alternative timings may be suggested due to different teams being on different time zones but this is something clearly stated during the interview process as well as on the contract. We provide the best training and the opportunities we have for growth as well as development are huge. Please allow us to continue this discussion by sending us an email at feedback@marcusevanscy.com
