    We were excited to welcome Donna Fraser OBE to speak with colleagues last week for National Inclusion Week. Donna is a 4x Olympian and a former 400m sprinter for Great Britain, with a successful athletics career spanning 20 years. Donna is now an international speaker, strategist, and charity ambassador, and dedicates much of her time to working in Business, Sport, and the charity sector to inspire and embed inclusive and diverse cultures. As part of our Inclusion Week activities Donna shared her story of overcoming challenges, maintaining focus in the face of adversity and 'believing and achieving'.  #UnitedforInclusion #Anglianwater

  • The Recruitment Team's February Wellbeing Challenge Last month, the Recruitment Team set a goal to walk, cycle, run or skip 880 miles between them, covering the outskirts of the Anglian Water region. The team of 12 had miles to cover per person. The team set this challenge to get them out moving and keeping fit mentally and physically during this lock down period. Well done to the team who smashed the target and as a team covered 1,259 miles between them!

  • Craig lands sustainability role following successful graduate placement This month Craig Hopkinson joined SPA as Sustainability Manager following a successful graduate placement. After completing his degree in International Business at Loughborough University, Craig applied for the Anglian Water Graduate Programme in September 2019. The Graduate Programme is a two-year scheme, designed to enable graduates to gain first-hand experience in a wide range of core areas across the business and ultimately secure a job at the end. Craig completed a series of placements across the business including working in the Innovation Engagement team, where he project-managed a Circular Economy project. He also spent time in Delivery Portfolio Management, learning about the range of schemes which take place across the Alliances. Finally, he had the opportunity to work in Regulation as part of the CMA team, helping to prepare our case against Ofwat in response to the Final Determination. We are hugely proud to have scooped the top spot for Employer of the Year, Net Zero Carbon Initiative of the Year and Supply Chain Initiative of the Year.   • There are so many amazing groups who have been helping communities in our region through the difficult recent months. In April we launched a �1million community support fund to provide a cash boost to groups fighting the impacts of coronavirus and the lockdown. More than �300,000 has now been allocated via 15 local Community Foundations, benefiting more than 80,000 individuals including people living with cancer and disabilities, people dealing with social exclusion, refugees and people with autism.
