Last week, our summer interns came together for a fun, interactive afternoon exploring Sharp through a scavenger hunt, followed by a well-earned pizza party! This event gave our interns the opportunity to collaborate, get to know one another, and experience Sharp’s culture in a whole new way.
Yesterday, Sharp had the incredible opportunity to attend the Ramapo College of New Jersey Career Fair, where we engaged with bright and ambitious students eager to jump-start their careers. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Ramapo College and meeting more future professionals who are ready to make an impact as they start their next chapters. A special thank you to Cindy Jebb for stopping by to say hello—it was a pleasure! We also want to thank the Cahill Career Center and the fantastic team, LaQuan Norman, Cynthia Gutiérrez Michalewski, and Kevin Blute, for organizing a fantastic event and creating opportunities for students to connect with employers like us, and the SBS NJ team for ensuring the copier was placed in time for the event. Your support was invaluable.
Sharp had the pleasure of hosting students from Ramapo College of New Jersey College for an enriching day that offered an inside look into corporate life, fostering valuable experiences for the next generation. The students had the opportunity to learn firsthand how our organization functions, participated in impactful networking sessions with departmental leaders, and connected with fellow Ramapo and Sharp alums. We sincerely thank LaQuan Norman, Cynthia Gutiérrez Michalewski, Kevin Blute, Danielle S., Peter Rice, and Chris Romano from Ramapo for their exceptional efforts in organizing and making this event successful.
Zero Emissions Day, observed on September 21st every year, is a day to raise awareness of the environmental impact of carbon emissions and to encourage people to make more climate-friendly choices. At Sharp's Montvale HQ, we leverage solar energy to help eliminate air pollution and minimize our carbon footprint. Globally, Sharp's ECO Vision 2050 plan will set a standard to create more clean energy than the total amount of energy consumed in Sharp’s entire supply chain, and to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions in Sharp’s business activities by 2050.
For the third consecutive year, the Sharp EMPower Mentorship Committee brought together mentors and mentees nationwide for an inspiring two-day event. Employees from various business units gathered to exchange feedback, share insights, and explore new ways to enhance Sharp's culture. Both days provided unique experiences, including a breakout session with Kelly Ceynowa, a memorable trip to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, and shared learning, networking and team building. We thank the Committee and all our dedicated employees for their commitment to fostering growth and positively impacting Sharp!
Patriotism and military support filled Montvale HQ as Sharp staff and Mayor Mike Ghassali welcomed the Patriot Pack. Our leadership team presented the Pack with a donation to help support this year’s mission - raising money for the Business Technology Association (BTA) Scholarship Foundation. Additionally, our Sharp Military Employee Resource Group Enterprise (MERGE) hosted a panel discussion with Mike Marusic to discuss the realities and needs of military members, spouses, and families and how we can support them in the workplace. We are grateful to support the Pack's initiative and honored to recognize our Sharp military community, thanking them for their continued service.

What better way to break the ice than a breakfast with the executive leadership team? Our newest interns were joined by leadership from Sharp to learn more about the company’s operations and how each individual plays a part in its success. We look forward to hosting our interns this summer and appreciate their choice to participate in our program.
Thirteen volunteers from Sharp partnered with The Health Barn Foundation at the No Fuss Kitchen to prepare spinach lasagna rolls and gingersnap cookies for families of ill children and seniors in need. Thank you to our wonderful staff for volunteering for a worthy cause in our community. The Health Barn Foundation supports Healing Meals, providing free, nutritious meals for families with ill children undergoing treatment at area hospitals. They also assist seniors in need and food pantries.
To celebrate International Women's Day, our Women Influencing Sharp's Evolution (WISE) group coordinated and hosted a breakfast at HQ and our branch locations nationwide to celebrate the amazing women in our company. Thank you, WISE, for your efforts and dedication to empowering women and promoting gender equality and the hard-working women in our community who impact our organization's success!
