      Does Accenture offer sponsored degrees?

      Experienced Hire Beware

      Operations manager
      Former employee

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

The company's benefits and perks are great and the salary can be competitive depending on your alignment and level. The Employee Resource Groups are also great if you're looking to connect with others who share your interests. The office spaces are beautifully decorated, and the staff is overall friendly and welcoming.

      Cons

Accenture, once a beacon of professional growth, has unfortunately become a place where career advancement is a daunting challenge, especially for experienced hires. As an experienced hire, I found it incredibly difficult to secure chargeable projects and grow my career. Despite being part of the firm, I often felt unsupported and had to actively seek out work with little to no network support. The firm's performance achievement process is outdated and can seem unfair to employees coming from outside of consulting. One of the most disappointing aspects was the lack of value placed on graduate education. Accenture offers zero tuition reimbursement, which is a significant drawback compared to other organizations. The severance package is a far cry from industry standards, 2 weeks given for every year worked with a maximum of 20 weeks total for Level 7 Manager and above, a stark contrast to other organizations. Accenture's offshoring initiatives have led to a significant reduction in onshore resources, making it increasingly difficult to find meaningful work. Many experienced hires, lured by the promise of a prestigious firm, end up leaving within the first two years due to a lack of opportunities and a toxic work environment. The firm's internal tools, such as MyScheduling, are outdated and inefficient. It's surprising that Accenture would recommend such archaic tools internally, while never recommending them to external clients. The lack of effective staffing tools has contributed to the difficulty of finding chargeable projects. Accenture's focus on acquiring companies at a rapid pace, without proper integration or management, has created a chaotic and unstable work environment. The firm's push for AI solutions seems premature and misguided, as it lacks the necessary expertise in this area. While they preach diversity, equity, and inclusion, their leadership remains predominantly white and male across many business lines and projects, especially Diamond level. While the idea of working at Accenture may be appealing, the reality is that many companies are moving away from large consultancy projects and opting to do the work in-house. This is a clear indication that seeking a career in industry might be a better option for those looking for faster advancement and better compensation.

      Pros

It is a great place to work. You have to be motivated to steer your career and find ways to grow. There is great support, but if you're not up for the task of growing, you will not thrive. Great benefits. Great people to work with (most of the time)... and I like that after the project ends, you have to find another project. Keeps things interesting and keeps you growing/learning.

      Cons

No college tuition reimbursement. Sometimes the demand of powers that be do not align with the work being done for the client.
