What is the salary like at Cornell University?

If you have local roots, they know they have you -- most other employers in the area can't compete with the pay + benefits -- so they are not incentivized to give you raises or promotions. You might be given more work in the spirit of personal growth and/or departmental innovation. But don't hold out hope to be compensated for it, especially given the political attacks on universities right now.

Again the hazing behavior by the sysadmin on the GitHub repository itself (their username is arxiv) deleted my hard iterative code work to refine and optimize their code as I was deploying their infrastructure onto google cloud at the same time. (I’m also a system cloud architect at google) Like not cool, and that’s why I did a 4 star and not a 5 star. Evelyn Gordon is the 5 star champion it’s the 1 star sysadmin blocking my work that is stipulated in my contract that needs to go.
