Once you choose workday, you get stuck in workday - very likely your entire career will be workday if you dont swtich quickly into something else. Just something to keep in mind Some managers suck and dont route for you well even though you clearly are deserving - like mine and you may work on a product that will eventually get de-prioritized but I guess that is tech.

Executive leadership shift and reorgs has many employees uncertain about the future. Second consecutive year of layoffs and health insurance premiums increased. AI rollout moving slower than planned. WDAY taking a sharp hit as are all software stocks.

Entire message WD presents to the world is a cover. The company is struggling. The new CEO and CFO have absolutely destroyed the company. They are very up front with the fact employees have no value and they are going to replace them with the cheapest alternative. The constant threat of layoffs and centralizing of decision making has destroyed the culture and the innovation WD thrives on to survive. The new AI products are all just ideas with no practicality, most of what they have in the market are higher-priced, watered down versions of what other companies are already doing. They say they want everyone to use AI in their jobs but with them going so far down market for talent, a lot of people struggle with not just AI but basic business skills. The company used to take care of it's employees so they can make WD the best company out there. Now they don't want WD to be the best, they want it to be the cheapest so C and Z can hit their payouts then jump ship leaving the carcass of a once great company rotting in the gutter.

Good product, decent pay, good flexibility, but the consulting (services) section gets the short stick…

The experiences vary widely and many departments are short staffed despite layoffs. It makes no sense!

Experience very much so depends on your manager. At the end of the day it is a high pressure sales job.
