Applied in late March 2026 Received 3 phone calls back to back from unknown number. Turns out it was the recruiter and left an unclear voicemail I tried to call back multiple times within a span of 2 weeks. I never received any email. After finally connecting with her over the phone she said she would schedule an interview with the hiring manager. I followed up with her multiple times by calling/texting and it wasn’t until another 2-3 weeks that she had her assistant set up an interview in early May. After the hiring manager interview, i sent a thank you email + follow up about the ideas I had for the role. I know Amex takes their time but 3 weeks later i decided to call the recruiter again for an update. She tells me that the role was filled internally. No email no phone call, I reached out every time.
