I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at American Express (New York, NY) in Feb 2020
Interview
Went through to the third stage of the interview. All over the phone.
The first was with a recruiter, and the next two, with directors in the credit risk depatments.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The recruiter asked mostly about my previous work experience, tools used and how i'll fit into the position.
The next with the first director was about my familiarity with the company and the role. Questions like: How does the company make money, How do you reach out to more customers, how do get your dormant customers active, How can you tell if it was a good strategy or not.
The second director asked basic probability questions.
Interview spanned 2 rounds, in succession. Both had 1 panelist each.
The first interview started off with a BQ, then a couple of technical questions, 1
guesstimate, 1 riddle based on probability, 2 fraud prevention related cases, and ended with
me asking him a couple of questions
The second interview was harder. Started off talking about any project I wanna talk about, an
ML related case, a fraud related case, a mathematical puzzle, another guesstimate, 1
question on SQL wherein I had to tell the logic instead of the queries (Since I told them I was
not well versed with any programming languages), and a BQ
