Fraud Gate Account Protection Specialist Interview

      24 Sept 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Salt Lake City, UT
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Express (Salt Lake City, UT)

      Interview

This was a two-part process. The first part consisted of a roughly 30 minute phone interview with an HR Recruiter. If you pass the first interview you are asked to attend an in-person interview. The in-person interview I attended consisted of me and about 4 other candidates interviewing with 5 supervisors for the department I applied for. Each supervisor was sitting at their own desk and the interviewees would spend about 10 minutes with each supervisor getting interviewed. When the 10 minutes were up, we switched over to the next supervisor. The best way to describe it was like speed-dating. It was the first time I had participated in such an interview and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It didn't feel intimidating whatsoever and the interviewers made sure to make you feel at ease.

      Question 1

Both interviews (phone and in-person) consisted of situational and behavioral questions using the STAR method.
