I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Capital One in Mar 2024
Interview
Initially was sent an online assessment. Several months later I was asked to interview. The 4 hour interview consisted of 3 different parts. The technical question was extremely easy. The behavioral aspect of the interview was 3 straight forward STAR questions. The last part was a technical case which was also really easy. They began by asking me a bit about a new hypothetical feature. They then asked me to review some code. This last part I think was the trickiest but really not too bad. For context I've completed 150 leetcode questions. The interview questions weren't really leetcode style but it definitely helped to be good at writing/reading my language of choice.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to challenge the status quo.
The first round was coding challenges which you have to solve 3 problems in 70 minutes. I would rate the problems were medium level in leetcode. It was about sorting algorithm and trees.

Interview
3 interviews (behavioral, technical, and case). Behavioral interviews are hard and your stories should demonstrate your technical aptitude and leadership qualities. The technical question was a leetcode easy-medium so it was not that bad. There's also a system design question which will catch you offguard if you aren't prepared for it.
