The interview in Hungary, Budapest is 6 turns I was participated in 2, then I got a "Thank You" message, and I am writing this review about the interview. I meet 1 Clouderan, and talked via phone other 2. The first turn was a screening what am I doing now, and what would I do at Cloudera, then I was directed by another Clouderan, or "Unicorn" as the Clouderans call themselves, and she organized a meeting with a people manager (the one unicorn which I was met). I was 15 mins late (because of an emergency working task), and we had some chat about my personality, and actual roles in my actual employer. I asked the people manager about the ratio of the hungarian/and american salaries, but he directed me to glassdoor. I think he decided that I won't fit into the current "batch" of unicorns, because I had this dear john letter. Two good advice were said: 1.) Don't be late, because americans are mad for accuracy. 2) Read, and learn the Hadoop the definitive guide 4th edition, because that is like a Bible for the Unicorns, and those who are into the big data industry.
I think they choosen those who are mad for Cloudera instead of me, who was mostly curious without visible emotional involvement. If you like your current job, or team that would be an alarming bell for them as well not to choose you. But these are only my impressions, not facts. The fact is that they can choose from a lot of people, and they choose those whom they think will fit the best.
