      Java/J2EE Developer Interview

      17 Nov 2009
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at IBM in Oct 2009

      Interview

Applied online by responding to a conuslting (placement) company ad. IBM lead interviewed over phone and the placement company arranged for F2F interview. The interview was done by two - one lead and one another developer I believe. Its a white board and question marathon. I was asked to write SQL Query by giving a db table on the white board.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

This is not difficult but unexpected to write the entire query on the white board. There is a table with Product ID, Product Desc, Customer ID and price etc. Product ID is the primary key and I was asked to write a SQL query to get the results of the first 30 or more product IDs, Product Desc, Customer ID for a particular Prod ID.
