      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at J.P. Morgan (Hyderābād) in Mar 2019

      Interview

I am a veteran. and this review could be considered as a disgruntled man telling his story. but i received an offer but had to decline. So this is an explanation for that. Interview process was ok. VP who took interviewed round suggested think twice before joining the company and don't go by the brand. Even then I cleared all the rounds. I accepted same CTC for proposed offer. Then the HR got my release delayed and made a loop of confusions . Perhaps VP was demotivating the release due to his own agenda. Hence when I accepted 0% hike CTC they didn't have much left to do. So the HR asked me he would try fr extra joining bonus. Then after a week made an excuse saying JPMC doesn't provide bonus . As HR he didn't know that ???? I smelled rat. I kept asking when will I get the offer. The HR said confirmed for sure. No worries. It's just formal process we will release offer in 3-5 days, same was confirmed on mail. It took three weeks I kept following every alternate day. One fine day after my follow up the HR said business partner had declined me as "Bad hire'". Business also has declined due to long time and money constraints. Whhhatttt ??? I was ready for no hike on CTC and didn't ask for bonus as well ??? They proposed extra bonus. I gave all my documents which are confidential . They knew my expected CTC before hand. Still they wasted my time . SO this is part one. I tweeted all of this . Part two: Some senior guy ( GOOD CHAP) called and apologized for the goof up . The firm took a full U turn. They released an offer letter saying HR misunderstood the business call. He was supposed to offer me but he refused due to this confusion. Nothing made sense. If it was a mistake why was it getting corrected after a tweet ?? VP did not even talk to me in all this a kept quiet. I had to let go one of the most precious chance of my life. But such unethical process would have made me think twice. At least where ever i work people are ethical and do not lie with straight faces. Guys I dont want to suggest anything May be this is one in a million case. But it involves me and my career . I had to take a decision. Take your decision. I am sure JPMC is a great firm. But we work with people at the end of the day . SO know whom are you going to report .
