The interview process was straightforward and relatively easy, but it took approximately 1.5 months of several email communications before they informed me that I had not been selected. Despite my current job involving significantly more responsibilities than what the position required, and feeling well-matched with the criteria they had shared, they informed me they were only seeking one candidate after 1.5 months. Shortly after that, I noticed another position open within the same group. I found this process to be unethical, as it led me to believe that hiring decisions were primarily based on connections rather than meritocracy. The interviews consisted of four separate one-hour sessions with different individuals from various departments, and the questions were not particularly challenging. Although I provided satisfactory answers, it seemed that the hiring manager's preference played a decisive role in the selection process, overshadowing educational qualifications, experience, and skillsets.
