I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Feb 2016
Interview
I interviewed first on campus and then was flown out to Redmond. The process was really easy. Everyone at Microsoft is very friendly and really tries to make your stay in Redmond as comfortable as possible. The questions were not terribly difficult–mostly behavioral with a few finance/business questions thrown in.
I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Singapore)
Interview
The interview process was good. The interview process is very structured and the interviewer is very prepared. Interviewer will ask mainly focus interview based on resume submitted and past projects.
It was emotionally exhausting but worth it. Proper preparation is needed to excel . Long hours to interview and plenty rounds of interviews. I had to prepare rigorously for about 7 days and it was very mentally draining .

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft in Apr 2022
Interview
The recruiter called me and said Microsoft would like to offer me the role and he emailed me the details of compensation.
However, the offer was lower than our expected salary in the application form. I asked if there is any room for negotiation.
The recruiter completely ghosted me for 2 weeks and then told me they decided to offer another candidate.
Tips for everyone, get the physical contract before you get too happy.
