      24 Oct 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PwC in Oct 2018

      Interview

Applied online, then met a recruiter at a university career fair. I was then invited to a pre-interview dinner where I spoke with managers and associates, and then an on-campus interview the following day. The interview consisted of two parts - a general case study, and a behavioral part with a resume overview. The overall difficulty was average for me because while the behavioral portion was easy, I had never done a case study prior to this interview so I struggled with certain aspects of it. The managers (also interviewers) and recruiters were very friendly throughout this process. Several weeks after this interview, however, I was invited to another campus event hosted by PwC, a social networking event. I was instructed to RSVP for it, and then a week later, I received a rejection email. A few days after that on the day of the event, I received another rather tactless email from the recruiter basically reminding me that while I was still welcome to attend, the event was only meant for students who had received offers, and that I shouldn't attend in order to avoid 'potential awkwardness or discomfort'. I suspect that poor management and planning resulted in them accidentally sending me an invitation to this event when I shouldn't have received one, but the way it was handled was extremely unprofessional and left a poor taste in my mouth; it felt like a completely unnecessary reminder that I had been rejected.
