I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SAP (Bengaluru) in Jan 2020
Interview
Interview was easier than I thought to be.
First Round: 1 Hours long healthy discussion
Asked about the current project in details. From architecture to the technology being used to the release/deployment process.
For example: What sort of storage options are being used . RDBMS vs Nosql vs cache vs message queue.
Asked 2/3 Java/OOPS questions, pretty basic .
Second round :
Core java standard questions
Tree vs List vs Set
OOPs
Docker basics: Write a sample docker file
Kubernetes : The interviewer was pretty knowledgeable in K8s
Asked kubernetes architecture
patterns used in kubernetes (Controllers , Statefullset, Operators etc)
Third Round (Managerial) :
Had one hour long discussions with the hiring manager . Mostly non technical, behavioral questions.
e.g.
How to react in certain situation
Are you following agile in current project? Have you worked scrum teams.
I had no idea abut SAP not being a paymaster .
Was offered a number which is almost same as my current CTC. So I had to decline the offer.
Other aspects included in the offer was pretty decent though
like SAP ESPP policy, higher edu policy etc.

**Title: Disappointing Candidate Experience Despite Multiple Rounds**
I recently went through the interview process with SAP and wanted to share my experience in a constructive way.
The interview process itself was quite extensive, involving around five rounds: an HR discussion, technical interviews, a coding challenge, and a manager round. Overall, the interactions during the interviews were professional, and I felt the discussions went well.
However, the post-interview experience was disappointing. I was informed that I would receive feedback within two weeks, but there was no communication even after three to four weeks. During this time, I sent multiple polite follow-up emails, mainly requesting feedback so I could improve for future opportunities. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response.
After more than a month, I finally received a generic rejection email without any specific feedback.
I understand that hiring processes can be complex and time-consuming, especially in large organizations. However, timely communication and basic feedback—especially after multiple rounds—would greatly improve the candidate experience. Candidates invest a significant amount of time and effort preparing for and attending these interviews, and a lack of response can be quite frustrating.
I hope this feedback helps improve the communication process for future candidates.
**Pros:**
* Structured interview process
* Professional interviewers
**Cons:**
* Lack of timely communication
* No feedback provided after multiple rounds
* Delayed response beyond communicated timeline
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Budapest) in Apr 2026
Interview
- HR screen
- tech screen
- product round
Despite SAP being a mammoth of a company, their interview pipeline is quite efficient, at least for these positions. I got feedback in hours, or 1-2 days max.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Shanghai, Shanghai) in Nov 2025
Interview
The whole process is just okay. Unfortunately, they choose the cheapest guy after 4 rounds interview. I received the call from a developer and take it on the next day. Then I was required to take interviews onsite. I took 3round for the whole afternoon. Each round have 2 tech workers with varied questions and coding. The last round is the manager and only focused on ur expected salaries. I asked a bit higher that i searched it after interviews.

Question 1
All things on ur resume and some general knowledge. But u will be interrupted with a new question when u answer the questions. Very rude.
