I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at SAP (Bengaluru) in Feb 2021
Interview
Scheduled a tech round and interviewed with 2 people in the same round. These were the most incompetent interviewers i have encountered in my entire life. SAP wants people who are not technically strong as it reduces competition for them in internal promotions as bunch of fools are in the company for like 15-20 yrs.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I have around 8 years work experience in the industry and the interviewers first set of questions were related to creating a Java file from mac terminal and printing my name. lol :D
I was then bombarded with all theory questions like difference between REST and HTTP, types of user authentication, DBMS query etc and REST API design for some scenario. End of my interview i was asked one coding question related to stack which i completed in 5 mins and spent the next 20 mins explaining the logic to the interviewer. At SAP i don't think they interview for one's DS/algo/system design skills as they need incompetent people like them. I was rejected the next week as i had already prayed to god that i don't want to work with such people.
**Title: Disappointing Candidate Experience Despite Multiple Rounds**
I recently went through the interview process with SAP and wanted to share my experience in a constructive way.
The interview process itself was quite extensive, involving around five rounds: an HR discussion, technical interviews, a coding challenge, and a manager round. Overall, the interactions during the interviews were professional, and I felt the discussions went well.
However, the post-interview experience was disappointing. I was informed that I would receive feedback within two weeks, but there was no communication even after three to four weeks. During this time, I sent multiple polite follow-up emails, mainly requesting feedback so I could improve for future opportunities. Unfortunately, I did not receive any response.
After more than a month, I finally received a generic rejection email without any specific feedback.
I understand that hiring processes can be complex and time-consuming, especially in large organizations. However, timely communication and basic feedback—especially after multiple rounds—would greatly improve the candidate experience. Candidates invest a significant amount of time and effort preparing for and attending these interviews, and a lack of response can be quite frustrating.
I hope this feedback helps improve the communication process for future candidates.
**Pros:**
* Structured interview process
* Professional interviewers
**Cons:**
* Lack of timely communication
* No feedback provided after multiple rounds
* Delayed response beyond communicated timeline
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Budapest) in Apr 2026
Interview
- HR screen
- tech screen
- product round
Despite SAP being a mammoth of a company, their interview pipeline is quite efficient, at least for these positions. I got feedback in hours, or 1-2 days max.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Shanghai, Shanghai) in Nov 2025
Interview
The whole process is just okay. Unfortunately, they choose the cheapest guy after 4 rounds interview. I received the call from a developer and take it on the next day. Then I was required to take interviews onsite. I took 3round for the whole afternoon. Each round have 2 tech workers with varied questions and coding. The last round is the manager and only focused on ur expected salaries. I asked a bit higher that i searched it after interviews.

Question 1
All things on ur resume and some general knowledge. But u will be interrupted with a new question when u answer the questions. Very rude.
