I’m still actively in the interview process, but I’ve had a phone screen with the recruiter and an hour video call with the hiring manager. Schneider Electric practices the values it preaches, and this feels like something that is exceedingly rare these days.
My recruiter has gone out of her way to keep me updated and informed on timelines and expectations. She even called me to let me know it may be a few days to a week longer than initially quoted for a decision from the hiring manager on the candidates he was advancing to the next round.
The hiring manager interview was excellent. He was so informative, candid, personable and warm, and made sure to let me know that he did not have a hard stop at the 45 minute mark, and I took him up on that for the chance to ask a few more questions. He’s also been at SE for over 30 years and I think that speaks for itself, he was a wealth of knowledge and happy to share it with me, and to learn about me as a professional and as a person.
I’ve come here to review the process from a survey they sent me about my experience so far, and among the questions was one that asked if I’ve been made to feel respected and comfortable, and a free text field option for my own comments. It certainly seems like they’re committed to making sure candidates feel well informed and that their time is respected.
So far, it’s clear that SE “walks the talk” in terms of its core values. I’m hoping to be advanced to the next round, but even if I’m not, I’ll come away from this process with the intention to keep an eye out for any relevant roles with SE in the future. It really does seem like a great place to work. Fingers crossed!
