I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Phoenix, AZ) in Jun 2018
Interview
The interview process was straight forward and natural, at least to me. Two ASM's, a Ramp Supervisor and a recruiter held the interview and it was perfect. You need to be able to give real-life experiences as answers to some of the questions that will be asked. Being able to put yourself in a position to be able to handle the pressure of being a leader is essential.

Question 1
Why do you think you'd be right for this huge responsibility as a leader here?
I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2025
Interview
Southwest Airlines people department is horrible. They give little to no communication. Application has said in process for seven months. They do not care about people. They will leave you guessing for months. If you try and contact them you are met with attitude. The culture of this company has changed for the worst. Had a one way recorded interview so they could see my race.
Very friendly and open with their communication. I was interviewed by a hiring manager that flew in from CA and the local branch manager. One started as a customer service agent and has moved her way up the chain.
Star method asking scenario based questions give me a time when or what would you do if you encountered this type of worker or situation. Overall process is fairly easy background takes the longest.
