Interview
Here is what I went though I applied online I received a phone interview on Feb 20 then I got an email to do some paperwork that same day then three days later I had an face to face interview for the Ramp supervisor position. Since they had a few internal candidates I had to wait two weeks then she called and offered me the Ramp Agent position. Then that Tuesday I went to do drug test then the next day went to do finger print if background clears I will start working for southwest. Keep in mind southwest likes to promote within first so keep a open mind their are so many others opportunities with this campaney that once you in you can move up if they feel you are a strong candidate. Keep on top of all emails and respond quickly cause the process could be longer if not. They do a strict background check.
I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2025
Interview
Southwest Airlines people department is horrible. They give little to no communication. Application has said in process for seven months. They do not care about people. They will leave you guessing for months. If you try and contact them you are met with attitude. The culture of this company has changed for the worst. Had a one way recorded interview so they could see my race.
Very friendly and open with their communication. I was interviewed by a hiring manager that flew in from CA and the local branch manager. One started as a customer service agent and has moved her way up the chain.
Star method asking scenario based questions give me a time when or what would you do if you encountered this type of worker or situation. Overall process is fairly easy background takes the longest.
